About GWF

July 12–16, 2012
Chicago, Illinois, USA
This July, girls from 145 countries and 100 U.S. councils will meet in Chicago to address the world's most urgent challenges and develop action steps to address the UN Millennium Development Goals One, Three and Seven. Using their well-honed leadership skills, girls will devise systems to end poverty and hunger. They'll also focus on ways to empower women and promote gender equity. And, tapping into their passion for environmental issues, girls will work to ensure environmental sustainability.
The selected attendees, ages 14 to 18, hope to motivate and inspire a global sisterhood of girls their age. You, too, can keep up on Facebook and Twitter as well as with our story on this blog, where we'll update you on lively debates and critical decisions as they happen.
Girls' World Forum 2012. Where girls are changing the world . . . one community at a time.
